VACATION 2007
These pictures are from our vacation taken in June/July 2007.
We drove a total of about 5700 miles, starting in St. Louis and heading west to Denver first,
where we visited NHC (National Homebrew Convention) as well as Jodi's Aunt Cathy and Uncle Don
in Wellington, CO. From there, it was a gruelling 15-16 hour drive to Hungry Horse, Montana,
right outside Glacier National Park, where we stayed about 4 days. From there, we drove to
Tacoma, Washington, to the '07 Gilbert family reunion, held at Elvis and Nata Gilbert's house.
We visited with them for several days and saw Mt. Ranier, downtown Seattle, and lots of Gilberts.
Then it was on to Portland, Oregon, and ultimately Whalen Island / Pacific City Oregon, and
camping right next to the Pacific Ocean. We headed to the Inn at Otter Crest next, including
the 4th of July fireworks in Newport, OR. We stopped back in Portland for the famous Apizza
Scholls (awesome), and then began the trek homeward. I tried my best to pare down the 1200+
pics we came home with, but after a while just got tired and put the rest up. Hope you enjoy.
